Welcome to the Mediterranean Cyclone Centre!

We are one of the few and by far the most popular source on the Internet for Medicanes, subtropical and tropical cyclones forming in the Mediterranean Sea. We track and archive them, and issue advisories at our Twitter account. If you’d like to help us track, join our Discord, located below:

OUTLOOK (MEDI / BLACK SEA)
SEP 07, 2020 22:30 UTC
Invest 91M - Models have began to slightly back off in intensity on this system, but other models have kept this system. There is high uncertainty on the path of
this storm; however, there is a general agreement that the storm will pass through the Balearic Islands at some point, but after that point, it is quite uncertain
what may happen. It is still possible that a storm could develop overnight and into the early morning hours on Tuesday, as this storm moves to the east, before
making a sharp, northwesterly turn into the Balearic Islands later tomorrow. Regardless of development, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall will likely lead to a
moderate flash flood threat in the mid-week.
CHANCE OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE NEXT 2 DAYS...MEDIUM...50%
CHANCE OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE NEXT 5 DAYS...MEDIUM...50%
